Why This Page Exists

Most plants running decanter, tricanter or disc stack centrifuges did not buy every machine from the same manufacturer. Equipment arrives through acquisitions, plant expansions, and years of purchasing decisions made by people who are no longer there, and the result is a fleet with three or four different brand nameplates and no single OEM willing to service all of them. This page exists to make it fast to find the brand or model you actually have and get to the right page, or the right conversation, quickly.

Sentrimax services centrifuges from 8 to 43 inches in bowl diameter, spanning decanter, tricanter and disc stack designs, which covers the great majority of industrial machines regardless of the nameplate on them. Brand and model help narrow down the specific service history and typical wear patterns for a given machine, but bowl diameter and centrifuge type are usually the first two facts worth confirming, because they determine whether a job is even in scope before brand is discussed at all.

What Brand Actually Tells You

Brand name is a reasonable starting point for finding information, but it is not the whole picture. Two decanter centrifuges from different manufacturers, built to a similar bowl diameter and duty, share more mechanically than two machines from the same manufacturer built a decade apart on different platforms. Bearing arrangements, gearbox types, and control philosophies vary by generation and application at least as much as they vary by brand. That is part of why Sentrimax evaluates every machine on its own mechanical and electrical condition during inspection, rather than applying a one-size assumption based on the nameplate alone.

Alfa Laval

Andritz, GEA and Bird decanter centrifuges, including GEA Westfalia and Bird 24×60 machines, are grouped together because plants running one of these three brands frequently run more than one of them side by side. Solids Control Equipment: Derrick, Tomoe and SWACO-Branded Machines

Centrisys, Pieralisi and Other Brands

Centrisys and Pieralisi decanter and disc stack centrifuges are serviced by Sentrimax but do not yet have a dedicated brand page. The same applies to any brand not named on this page: Sentrimax’s centrifuge repair and overhaul services are built around the machine’s mechanical and electrical design, not around a manufacturer relationship, so a brand’s absence from this list is not a reason to assume it falls outside Sentrimax’s scope.

What Sentrimax Checks Regardless of Brand

Every machine that comes in for inspection, whatever the nameplate says, goes through the same documented process: triage and identification, oil sampling sent for third-party analysis, disassembly and a licensed technician’s 75-point inspection, measurement of critical precision fits, and detailed annotated photos of the full machine and its parts. That consistency is what lets Sentrimax give a comparable answer across a fleet with several different brands on it, rather than a different depth of evaluation depending on which manufacturer built the machine.

Parts sourcing works the same way. Rather than depending on a single manufacturer’s parts channel, Sentrimax’s engineering services and machine shop can mill, lathe-turn and precision-grind replacement parts, or design new or reverse-engineered parts, to meet or exceed OEM specifications. That capability matters most on an older or less common brand where an OEM parts channel may be slow, expensive, or no longer active at all, and it is the same capability applied regardless of which of the brands above is on the machine.

Finding Your Model, Not Just Your Brand

A model name usually tells you more than a bare brand name does about bowl diameter, typical bearing arrangement, and gearbox configuration, all of which affect parts sourcing and inspection scope well before any brand-specific quirks come into play. Model-level detail matters more than brand name once a job actually gets scoped. A brand’s presence in one industry does not limit where else it shows up, which is part of why brand alone is a weaker predictor of a machine’s condition than its actual duty cycle and maintenance history.
