Three facilities, coverage across two countries

Sentrimax operates three MRO facilities for industrial decanter, tricanter and disc stack
centrifuges: Mansfield, Texas; Edmonton, Alberta; and Kitchener, Ontario. Between them, these
shops support customers across the continental United States and Canada. There is no fourth
location, no regional branch office, and no local depot outside these three addresses. Every
centrifuge that comes through Sentrimax is inspected, repaired, machined and balanced at one of
them, and every quotation, whichever shop issues it, follows the same documented process.

Which facility receives a given machine is decided by freight routing, current shop loading
and the type of work required, not by which city the customer happens to operate in. A plant in
Ohio might reasonably route to Mansfield, Edmonton or Kitchener depending on how the freight
network lines up that month; there is no assumption that the nearest facility on a map is
automatically the one doing the work.

How equipment actually reaches a Sentrimax facility

Centrifuges arrive by truck freight almost without exception. A decanter bowl assembly or a
tricanter rotating assembly is too large, too heavy and too precisely balanced to move as
parcel freight, so Sentrimax ships equipment, in both directions, through a dedicated broker
network built around this size and weight of rotating equipment. That network arranges flatbed
or specialized freight, handles cross-border paperwork where a shipment crosses between the
United States and Canada, and gets the unit from the customer’s dock to the receiving facility
without the customer having to source that capacity independently.

On arrival, the unit is documented and ID-tagged for triage before any inspection work
begins. That tag travels with the machine through inspection, quotation, repair and return
shipping, so a customer can check status against a specific work order rather than a general
description of “the centrifuge we sent in.”

Field service and remote services, for work that shouldn’t travel

Not every job benefits from shipping. Some diagnostic work, some controls and automation
troubleshooting, and some alignment or balancing checks can be handled with a field service
technician on site instead of pulling the centrifuge out of service for a full teardown-and-ship
cycle. Field service technicians and remote services extend the reach of the three facilities to
plants that are too far from a shop to justify shipping for a smaller issue.

Remote services apply particularly well to controls work: a VFD fault, an HMI programming
question or a PLC troubleshooting session can often be resolved without anyone traveling at all.
Field visits are reserved for physical work, such as inspections, alignment checks and mechanical
troubleshooting, that genuinely has to happen at the machine.

What every job gets, regardless of which facility does the work

• A licensed technician completes a 75-point inspection before any repair work begins
• Oil samples are drawn and sent out for third-party analysis
• The rotating assembly is fully steam-cleaned and critical surfaces polished before inspection
• Repaired parts are machined to OEM tolerances
• The rotating assembly is fully balanced to ISO G 0.5
• A full test run, including a performance report, is completed before the unit ships back
• Nothing is repaired without an itemized quotation package: inspection report, scope of work, required parts, photographs and pricing

This is the same list at all three facilities because it is documented under the same ISO
9001:2015 quality system, not because of who happens to be running a particular shop that week.

Choosing which facility handles a given job

Customers do not need to pick a facility before making contact. A description of the machine,
the problem and the plant’s general location is enough for Sentrimax to route the job to whichever
shop has the right capability and schedule open. In practice this usually means the geographically
closest facility, but freight economics, current workload and equipment specialization can all
shift that decision, and a plant in one region may occasionally see its machine routed to a
facility on the other side of the border rather than the nearest one.

The capability behind all three facilities

Every Sentrimax facility is built around the same core capability set, not a subset of it. That
consistency is what makes routing between shops possible in the first place: a job quoted in one
facility can be repaired in another without the customer losing anything in scope or process.
