Which facility receives a given machine is decided by freight routing, current shop loading
and the type of work required, not by which city the customer happens to operate in. A plant in
Ohio might reasonably route to Mansfield, Edmonton or Kitchener depending on how the freight
network lines up that month; there is no assumption that the nearest facility on a map is
automatically the one doing the work.
How equipment actually reaches a Sentrimax facility
Centrifuges arrive by truck freight almost without exception. A decanter bowl assembly or a
tricanter rotating assembly is too large, too heavy and too precisely balanced to move as
parcel freight, so Sentrimax ships equipment, in both directions, through a dedicated broker
network built around this size and weight of rotating equipment. That network arranges flatbed
or specialized freight, handles cross-border paperwork where a shipment crosses between the
United States and Canada, and gets the unit from the customer’s dock to the receiving facility
without the customer having to source that capacity independently.
On arrival, the unit is documented and ID-tagged for triage before any inspection work
begins. That tag travels with the machine through inspection, quotation, repair and return
shipping, so a customer can check status against a specific work order rather than a general
description of “the centrifuge we sent in.”

Field service and remote services, for work that shouldn’t travel
Not every job benefits from shipping. Some diagnostic work, some controls and automation
troubleshooting, and some alignment or balancing checks can be handled with a field service
technician on site instead of pulling the centrifuge out of service for a full teardown-and-ship
cycle. Field service technicians and remote services extend the reach of the three facilities to
plants that are too far from a shop to justify shipping for a smaller issue.
Remote services apply particularly well to controls work: a VFD fault, an HMI programming
question or a PLC troubleshooting session can often be resolved without anyone traveling at all.
Field visits are reserved for physical work, such as inspections, alignment checks and mechanical

shift that decision, and a plant in one region may occasionally see its machine routed to a
facility on the other side of the border rather than the nearest one.
