Sentrimax services centrifuges throughout the United States and Canada from three facilities, in Mansfield, Texas, Edmonton, Alberta and Kitchener, Ontario. A plant with no Sentrimax shop nearby is still covered: equipment ships to whichever facility suits the job, or a field service technician comes to the site instead.

Three facilities, coverage across two countries

Sentrimax operates three MRO facilities for industrial decanter, tricanter and disc stack
centrifuges: Mansfield, Texas; Edmonton, Alberta; and Kitchener, Ontario. Between them, these
shops support customers across the continental United States and Canada. There is no fourth
location, no regional branch office, and no local depot outside these three addresses. Every
centrifuge that comes through Sentrimax is inspected, repaired, machined and balanced at one of
them, and every quotation, whichever shop issues it, follows the same documented process.

Which facility receives a given machine is decided by freight routing, current shop loading
and the type of work required, not by which city the customer happens to operate in. A plant in
Ohio might reasonably route to Mansfield, Edmonton or Kitchener depending on how the freight
network lines up that month; there is no assumption that the nearest facility on a map is
automatically the one doing the work.

How equipment actually reaches a Sentrimax facility

Centrifuges arrive by truck freight almost without exception. A decanter bowl assembly or a
tricanter rotating assembly is too large, too heavy and too precisely balanced to move as
parcel freight, so Sentrimax ships equipment, in both directions, through a dedicated broker
network built around this size and weight of rotating equipment. That network arranges flatbed
or specialized freight, handles cross-border paperwork where a shipment crosses between the
United States and Canada, and gets the unit from the customer’s dock to the receiving facility
without the customer having to source that capacity independently.

On arrival, the unit is documented and ID-tagged for triage before any inspection work
begins. That tag travels with the machine through inspection, quotation, repair and return
shipping, so a customer can check status against a specific work order rather than a general
description of “the centrifuge we sent in.”

Full address, phone number and equipment-receiving detail for each shop is on its own page:
the Mansfield, Texas facility, the
Edmonton, Alberta facility, and the
Kitchener, Ontario facility. Each of those
pages covers what that specific shop receives and how freight typically moves through it.

Field service and remote services, for work that shouldn’t travel

Not every job benefits from shipping. Some diagnostic work, some controls and automation
troubleshooting, and some alignment or balancing checks can be handled with a field service
technician on site instead of pulling the centrifuge out of service for a full teardown-and-ship
cycle. Field service technicians and remote services extend the reach of the three facilities to
plants that are too far from a shop to justify shipping for a smaller issue.

Remote services apply particularly well to controls work: a VFD fault, an HMI programming
question or a PLC troubleshooting session can often be resolved without anyone traveling at all.
Field visits are reserved for physical work, such as inspections, alignment checks and mechanical
troubleshooting, that genuinely has to happen at the machine.

What every job gets, regardless of which facility does the work

  • A licensed technician completes a 75-point inspection before any repair work begins
  • Oil samples are drawn and sent out for third-party analysis
  • The rotating assembly is fully steam-cleaned and critical surfaces polished before inspection
  • Repaired parts are machined to OEM tolerances
  • The rotating assembly is fully balanced to ISO G 0.5
  • A full test run, including a performance report, is completed before the unit ships back
  • Nothing is repaired without an itemized quotation package: inspection report, scope of work, required parts, photographs and pricing

This is the same list at all three facilities because it is documented under the same ISO
9001:2015 quality system, not because of who happens to be running a particular shop that week.

“Do you serve my city?” — the honest answer

Yes, by shipping to a facility or by field visit

If there is no Sentrimax facility in your city, the honest answer is that there isn’t a local
branch there, and nothing on this site should be read to suggest one. What does exist: three
facilities that receive equipment from across the United States and Canada through a dedicated
broker network, plus field service technicians and remote services for work that does not need
to leave the plant. A city with no Sentrimax address is still inside the service area. It is
simply served from Mansfield, Edmonton or Kitchener rather than from a shop down the street, and
that is a more useful answer than a page pretending otherwise.

Where the wider service catalog is documented

This page covers where Sentrimax operates and how equipment gets there. For the full list of
what happens inside a Sentrimax facility, from engineering and machine shop work to gearbox
repair, balancing, welding and controls, see the complete Sentrimax service
catalog
. Equipment types range from 8″ to 43″ bowl diameter, covering decanter, tricanter and
disc stack centrifuges from all the major manufacturers the industry runs.

Choosing which facility handles a given job

Customers do not need to pick a facility before making contact. A description of the machine,
the problem and the plant’s general location is enough for Sentrimax to route the job to whichever
shop has the right capability and schedule open. In practice this usually means the geographically
closest facility, but freight economics, current workload and equipment specialization can all
shift that decision, and a plant in one region may occasionally see its machine routed to a
facility on the other side of the border rather than the nearest one.

The capability behind all three facilities

Every Sentrimax facility is built around the same core capability set, not a subset of it. That
consistency is what makes routing between shops possible in the first place: a job quoted in one
facility can be repaired in another without the customer losing anything in scope or process.

Brands and equipment types serviced across the network

Sentrimax services decanter, tricanter and disc stack centrifuges from 8″ to 43″ bowl diameter,
across the major brands used in the industry: Sharples, Flottweg, Centrisys, Derrick, GEA, Alfa
Laval, Tomoe, Andritz, Bird, Pieralisi and others. Sentrimax is an independent MRO provider. It is
not authorized, approved or partnered by any of these manufacturers; brand names describe the
equipment serviced, nothing more.

Shop work versus field work

Type of workUsually handled
Full teardown, rebuild and precision machiningAt a facility
Balancing to ISO G 0.5At a facility
Alignment checks and general mechanical troubleshootingField visit
PLC, HMI or VFD faultsRemote service, or a field visit if hands-on access is needed
Vibration or performance diagnosisField visit, followed by a facility visit if teardown is warranted

This is a general guide, not a fixed rule. The right call depends on the specific machine, the
suspected cause and what the customer’s own maintenance team has already ruled out.

Rentals and equipment during a repair

Where downtime on a specific unit cannot be absorbed while a repair or overhaul is underway,
Sentrimax offers rental centrifuges to keep an operation running in the meantime, alongside full
overhaul, equipment and parts sales for customers replacing rather than repairing. Availability of
a specific rental unit depends on current demand and equipment type; the fastest way to check is
to describe the application when requesting a quote.

What’s in the quotation package

Before any repair work begins, Sentrimax issues a written quotation package rather than a
verbal estimate. It includes the full inspection report from the 75-point inspection, the
proposed scope of work, a list of required parts, annotated photographs taken during teardown, and
pricing with an estimated delivery time. That package is approved before repair work starts,
regardless of which of the three facilities is doing the work.

Why the process doesn’t change between facilities

Sentrimax maintains ISO 9001:2015 certification, and the three-stage process, inspection and
quote, repair, and delivery, is documented under that certification rather than built informally
at each shop. That is the practical reason a job can be routed between Mansfield, Edmonton and
Kitchener without the customer noticing a difference in how it is handled: the inspection
standard, the balancing specification and the quotation format are identical wherever the machine
ends up being repaired.

Language support and independence

Sentrimax has English, French and Spanish-speaking representatives available, which matters for
a network operating across both the United States and Canada. Sentrimax is also an independent
MRO provider, not a manufacturer subsidiary or authorized dealer, so a customer is not limited to
a single manufacturer’s network when deciding where to send a machine for repair.

Getting a job started looks the same everywhere: describe the centrifuge and the problem, and
Sentrimax will triage it, quote it, or schedule a field visit, regardless of which of the three
facilities ultimately does the work.

Preguntas frecuentes

Does Sentrimax have a facility in my state or province?

Only if you're in or near Mansfield, Texas, Edmonton, Alberta, or Kitchener, Ontario. Those are the three Sentrimax facilities, and there is no branch, depot or local office anywhere else. Customers elsewhere are served by shipping equipment to one of these three shops or by scheduling a field service visit.

How does a centrifuge get from my plant to a Sentrimax facility?

By truck freight, arranged through a dedicated broker network Sentrimax uses for this class of rotating equipment. The broker handles flatbed or specialized freight and any cross-border paperwork, so the customer does not have to source that capacity independently in either direction.

Can Sentrimax do anything without me shipping the whole machine?

Often, yes. Field service technicians handle inspections, alignment checks and mechanical troubleshooting on site, and remote services can resolve many controls issues, such as VFD faults or HMI/PLC programming questions, without a technician traveling at all.

Which of the three facilities will handle my repair?

Sentrimax decides based on freight routing, current shop loading and the type of work needed, not simply which shop is closest on a map. You describe the machine and the problem; Sentrimax routes it to whichever facility can do the work on the right schedule.

Is the repair process different depending on which facility does the work?

No. All three facilities follow the same ISO 9001:2015-documented process: a 75-point inspection, third-party oil analysis, machining to OEM tolerances, balancing to ISO G 0.5, a full test run with a performance report, and an itemized quotation package before any repair is approved.

What if my plant is close to the US/Canada border?

That does not complicate anything. The dedicated broker network Sentrimax uses is set up to move equipment across the border between the U.S. and Canadian facilities, so a plant near the border can be routed to whichever of the three shops fits the job.
